I am NOT dead

Look at this story from the Salt Lake Tribune. Despite living in SLC for 12 years, I assure you that I did not die there this January.

Speaking of freaky things, I forgot to mention that early in the morning on New Year's Day this year, as I left my friend's apartment and went to my dad's car, a black cat walked right across my path.

I'm gonna have to stay sharp this year...

Yeah, that's bad mojo. And it's bad mojo that you totally failed to give me mad props for bringing that news piece to your attention! And I'll give props to Apollo, who called worried about you.

Hi...there was another Chris H. who just died. He was my friend's son. He had just moved to SLC 8 months ago. When I was searching for news about him, I found your site, and that was a weird feeling.

He was a wonderful young man, and a good climber, too. He was only 32!!

He must be the Chris H. from the newspaper story? I am sorry to hear about the loss. It sounds horrible.

I lived in SLC until I was 14, and I happen to have friends back there who are into ice climbing and have probably climbed that same spot. The connections are eerie, indeed.

thanks for stopping by and saying hello.

-Chris
